Outbuilding

This summer house was designed by us and was based on the typical bungalow style found in Ilford Essex.
It has a double glazed bay window and wooden french style doors to the entrance.
All walls were constructed using 11 inch Durox blocks which was rendered to finish.
The peddiment above the window adds character to the building with the typical wooden beam pattern.
The face of this was constructed using plywood with EML (expanded metal lathing) nailed to the front and then rendered in 2 coats
.
The loft space has lots of insulation so this building can be heated very cheaply.
The ceiling is high as we have used some of the loft space for the room by raising the ceiling joists in the form of an "A".
This also has tudor style beams to enhance its appearance.
This job was carried out around 1998 and has proved
to be a quality building.
Much simpler designs with flat roofs can be constructed to save money on the job costs.
There is value in having an quality external building for your needs.
